The 49ers should not even be in this game. The Packers out played them in the Divisional round and they only won because of a bone headed pass from Love throwing across his body into the middle of the field for an INT when the pass was not necessary.

The Lions dominated the 49ers in the first half and would have been even with them in the 3rd quarter if not for the worst coaching decision in the history of the league...when they failed to attempt the FG with 7:00 minutes left in the 3rd quarter that would have made the 3rd quarter even and the Lions up by 3 scores. This horrible decision followed by a dropped pass changed the momentum in the game and reversed both teams fortunes.

Even with all of that, the Lions lost the game with dropped passes, horrible situational coaching, bad luck on the Purdy pass that hit the defender in the face mask and bounced into Aiyuk's hands... and then they lost the momentum as a result of all of the above and their defense sprang a leak.

The Chiefs will not make horrible coaching decisions and the defense will not spring a leak and, unlike the regular season, they will not drop easy passes in the big game.

The is one is easy. When one team has the better coaching staff, the better defense and the better QB they always win the biggest game of the year. It doesn't happen every year, but this year the Chiefs possess all three in this game. See the attached analysis on the history of the Superbowl.
